Roll Bar Tune Up
I decided to remove my roll bar padding after watching a You-Tube Video from JK Gear & Gadgets on doing this. My JK being a Two Door I thought my roll bar might accidentally be completely painted the body color. WRONG Just in case I had ordered a can of MOPAR "Red Lobster" Dupli-Color touch up paint. I also picked up a can of Dupli-Color Clear Acrylic Lacquer to apply over the color coat. My advice is to get Two cans of the body color paint for the roll bar touch up. One can is cutting it way to close for complete coverage of the unpainted areas of the roll bar.
I dropped the Sound Bar one side at a time getting the cover off. I also rerouted the wiring slightly to the Sound Bar to have less exposed.
I like the finished product. The painted roll bar looks way better to me than the cover with big chunks of Styrofoam under it. I wear a seat belt any time I am on the highway, so I am not super concerned about not having the padding if I might ever be in an accident.
I also discovered that I can use a couple more upgrades.
ONE: I need to get a pair of Stainless Steel Door Pin Guides. I will probably order them from Outlaw Jeep Parts with my mirror order. Much easier to hit the Door Hinge Hole one pin at a time.
TWO: I got a pair of the Smittybuilt mirrors that bolt on. They work, but leave a little room for improvement. I should have done more research. The Outlaw Mirrors that attach to the upper door hinge look to be a far superior mirror. They are also easy to install and remove. Check out Outlaw Jeep Parts. I see a pair of them in my future.
Per Fed Ex my Best Top Bikini should arrive tomorrow. I am looking forward to installing it.
The wife seems to like the JK with the Top and Doors off just fine. I did have to do a U-Turn and go back after her Trump 2020 Ball Cap once today.

Well I got the Best Top Bikini Top in today, minus the Windshield Channel. I am still dead in the water installing the Bikini Top until the Windshield Channel shows up.
I have the Outlaw Hinge Pin Extenders on order along with a set of Delrin Door Hinge Liners. Both of these items should be noticeable upgrades.
I regrouped again on the mirrors. I discovered another option that I like even better than the outlaw mirror. This uses the Die-Tech Off Road mirror relocation bracket that mounts in the upper Door Hinge hole, and is also secured by a bolt in the door hinge. This relocation bracket Reuses OR Uses OEM style Jeep Manually adjusted Mirrors. This set up seems to be the best option I have found so far. Easy on, and easy off when you buy an additional set of Jeep Mirrors to leave on the relocation brackets.

I have the 4-door version of the Bikini Top and also have the sport cage padding removed. You'll find that the front flaps for the Bikini top are too big. They are sewn to fit the sport cage with the padding. I've yet to get around to doing anything about this (2 years running). It's not annoying enough to me I guess. Other than that, I really like the top.
