X2-you'd be way better off doing a TF true B.B.-(spacers not coils)-very inexpensive, certainly cheaper than parting out all of the Rubi pieces your talking about.-cant imagine you'd spend more than 250 bucks--look in all of the for sale threads on the forum--guys are constantly taking off BB's for larger lifts

EDIT: I'M NOT A SPACER GUY, BUT IN A PINCH, THEY'LL DO, AND ARE BY FAR THE CHEAPEST WAY TO GET HEIGHT.-BUT SERIOUSLY-DO WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU-ITS YOUR JEEP. ENJOY IT. GOOD LUCK!

yeah, im constantly checking the for sale section for BB's, and other misc. lifts. contacted a few of you guys too. still looking for the right price. i figured if i could get the springs, then that's all i need for now. i can get them reallllly cheep cuz i know someone local who's just done major changes to his rubi.

im trying to get the stock rubi rims cuz they look better, and the wheels, i was lookin for pretty much the stock set up of the rubi. 32 bfg mud's. might even look for toyo mt's, cuz i heard the road noise was alot quieter than bfg. think my stock x can handle 32's? been also looking into exhaust, and a CAI. heard it boosts performance a little bit. was thinking maybe it would be enough to spin 32's if stock gear was struggling.

I recently upgraded to the stock Rubi tires on my 2dr X with no upgrade to suspension. Zero problems ... It rides way better than the stock setup ever did.

I was parked behind a stock Rubicon JK and I did notice the back end was slightly higher on the Rubi vs my X. But honestly, no problems.

I might lift or swap to the Rubi shocks/springs down the road, but for now it's fine.

The road noise on the BFGs is not bad at all ... I have a hard top though. When I swap to my soft top in the summer it will be louder ... but it's a Jeep, not a Jag ... I've decided that I will run nothing but MTs from now on after my experience with these BFGs. I live in Pittsburgh and do mostly city driving too. I run them at 30psi to soften the ride up a bit and plan on rotating every 3k to even out the wear.

Go with the Rubi Tires/Rims... I got my set of 5 for $600 from piginajeep and they were like brand-new with only 7k and nubbies still on the tires. Spare had 0 miles.

Honestly, they should just do away with the 16" steel wheel setup with the puny goodyear tires. It looks ridiculous. Even bone stock you're paying more for a Wrangler than you are most other vehicles. Yes it can do more, but seriously, lose the stupid puny tires.

from what i have seen the stock shocks for the 16" wheels and tires are very small and weak compared to the shock that come when you get the 17" factory upgrade. I only assume that the rubi shocks are a little better than the ones that came on mine(17"wheel option)

My X came with the 16" Alloys and 245/75/16s. I didn't notice a difference in the stock suspension of my X vs other Xs with the 17"s from the factory.

Granted, mine was an April 07 build before they axed the 16" Alloys from the option list.

I just did this swap, today. I got a set of 2door Rubi springs and shocks for my 07 X(the spings and shocks were off an 08 w/ Push button discos and the dual top option). I started by measuring the tire to fender flare, then ground to fender flare at the center of the wheel. Here is what I had stock

Rear 5in. flare to tire
Rear 35.25in flare to ground

Front 4.5 flare ti tire
Front 34.75 flare to ground

I installed PN 4245AA Rubi springs in the rear, and Front ones were the 6314, adn 6315 Rubi springs.

This is where I ended up

Rear Flare to tire 6in
Rear flare to ground 36in

Front 5.5 Fler to tire
Front 35.75 flare to ground.

these measurments are rounded to the nearest 8th ( I am not that picky).

All components matched perfectly, and parts installed easilly. I hope this helps someone, i really kinda stumbled on this thread today when I did a search to see what the spring difference was in the two. I really noticed the ride right away (alot better) the shocks had been on for about 10 thousand miles I just was too busy to get the rest installed. I really did not expect the difference to be a full inch but I stand amazed, It was. It looks like the rake in the front has been fixed with this setup too, maybe b/c the other Jeep had the electric swaybar disco and me not having them gave me a boost. Well good luck to all who go forward with this. any questions fell free to ask. JOE>
