From every account that I have heard, better!

I've been studying up on Rubicon shocks for months now, but a lot this past week. Trying to determine what differences they have with Sahara Heavy Duty shocks. Have not come across a single report of anyone not being happy with Rubicon shocks in a stock-type application.

Most people seem to report that the ride is more firm, but more controlled. Everyone seems to like it.

It'll be a stiffer ride overall. There's only 2 sets of shocks for JKs. The black light duty ones & the red heavy duty. Both sets are options on EVERY JK. They aren't Rubicon only shocks so check your shocks before buying. Our 2010 JK base model had them & the Rubi rims/tires as an upgrade from the factory...only option on the build sheet.

I gave away the stock shocks from my 11' JKUR; the Bilsteins are only a slight improvement imho. I wouldn't waste the time to put the stock Rubi. shocks on and I'd buy some Fox's.

I have the black ones, got the rubi's for $100 shipped. the bilstiens are $76 apiece and the foxes are more. I just wanted a better ride with more control
Jeep stays on the street.

You'll be happy with them. They are an upgrade from the black ones & have better control with no nose drop.

I have a 2013 jku with 17/58 as well and put on rubi shocks before I had a 1000 miles on the stock shocks and they are an improvement and well worth doing. You get more of a planted feel and they are not rough riding at all.

you will not find red shocks on anything but rubicons from the factory in the USA, it would be nice if sports could be specked that way here too. There are actually 3 different shocks as the sahara black shocks are actually a different part number then the black sport shocks.

I installed Rubicon Shocks and springs on my Sport, Rides way better. I paid $150 Shipped for shocks and springs, with less than 200 miles on them.

I thought all Wranglers were built in Toledo...even the Canadian ones. Ours came straight from the factory with the red HD shocks with rubi rims/tires on a base no options sport.
