Default That's the bugger

That's the one it was broke in two pieces attached to the drain plug. The weird part is NO leaks?? Im thinking on just waiting till I see a leak to do anything. Any idea why it would break?

There are many reasons why they can break . Most due to age or work load. Since its not leaking it's most likely broken from manufacturing defect or was damaged when the axle shafts were installed from the factory . The spring is there to put tention on shaft as the seal wares. If it's not leaking as you said there's no point changing it , it could be months or years before it fails
