rusty muffler
I used to use under coat on all my exhaust systems, the rubberized sort. I would spray it on and then run it at idle for a few minets and let it get hot that would more or less bake it on never had one rust out. Just a little trick I picked up from a muffler shop, Still use it on any welds on my exhaust system aswell.

You can pick it up at any parts store, cant say any one brand is better than the other I usually look por the stuff with teflon in it. Makes me feel like crud wont stick as bad just like in a kitchen skillet. I think the stuff I use is made by dupont. Not sure but like I said you can get it anywhere even wallmart.

Flat Black ceramic header paint. I have NEVER had a rusty exhaust on a JK with this paint. One application to a new JK exhaust, never needs a re-application to far.
Picking up my 2012 JK next week- already have my ceramic paint ready.

X 2 on that. I tried the BBQ flat black paint and noticed that it stained very easily and it started to come off from the right side of the muffler where it appears to be the hottest. I removed the entire muffler which is not that difficult, sanded it, and sprayed it with a gloss black header paint. So far it's lasted as good as day one and it doesn't hold dirt stains at all.
