Just the passenger airbag. I don't let people sit there anymore.

Default Scratchy Plastic Poll

Hey, I'd like to get a handle on this scratchy plastic thing. Does everyone have it, or only some of us? This info should help in talking to the dealers to get a fix from DC. If you could post your build date, and which areas scratch easily, and also if you have found any home remedies.

Mine is mid-February. Only real bad plastic is the passenger airbag cover. It's so soft, it scratches telekinetically.

Thanks,
jwetzel

The textured parts are the worst. Above the instruments, door inserts, airbag cover.... but most everything in mine is scratched with the exception of the stuff down around the footwell/entry area, that seems very durable.

Late January build; only one accidental scratch from jabbing the business-end of my ice scraper / snow brush into the passenger airbag cover - normal use (i.e. wedding ring contact, fingernails, etc.) hasn't caused any scratches yet.

November 10th, 2006 build date.

I have one scratch on the passenger rear door because of a pitching machine falling over in the back seat, it's all metal.

I have tried to scratch areas with my fingers and keys, and have no problems.
