Hmm, well the handle isn't broken (as far as I can tell) because it still lowers and raises the seat. It just also lowers on its own too.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with this issue... hopefully it'll be something the dealership has seen before and can handle.

i have this issue too... i've since just gotten used to sitting in the seat with it lowered.. though i'll adjust it on occasion i feel like riding high again. However, i used to have a VW jetta with the same setup to raise the seat, and it used to lower itself too. I think i might just be something with the way the mechanism works that it just wont stay up.... maybe it needs a viagra lol

I have the same problem. he seat was lowring every few days so I had the dealer take a look at it while it was in for an oil change. They ordered a new seat frame and installed it a couple of weeks ago. The problem still exists so it seems to be this is some kind of a design flaw rather than just a broken part. I am interested to see if anyone else had thiers worked on. When I bring it in for the brake recall I will have them look at it again.

I've done that once or twice too, but usually the handle is a bit lower than the top of the seat. I've since had the problem where I get in and start driving (for 10-40 miles) and it sinks as I drive. Slowly, so I don't notice any specific drop. But when I get out of the seat, I'll be able to raise it about 4 'lever fulls'.

I have the same problem. Seems to take several days to do it, but my Jeep isn't a daily driver, so that probably has quite a bit to do with it. At first, I thought I was just nuts, but you can see the difference with the extinguisher I have mounted along the seat rail.

Mine does this too. I like the seat high. I kept thinking that it must be my husband lowering the seat, but when I finally asked him about it, he said that he doesn't adjust the height of the seat, only slides it backward for more legroom. Now we are both noticing that the seat seems to slowly sink.
