Hate that you had bad luck. Those SR-As have very thin sidewalls. They also have terrible tread life. So don't worry the other four will be garbage soon. The only thing that's good about these tires is the low price.

I agree 100%, hard to believe I got 15k with my tires now I ride with real tires duratracs 285/70R17 much smoother and aggressive.

Duratracs were my planned purchase just not so damned soon.

Just wondering if anyone thinks airing down would have helped? Its just a pin hole barely off the tread. I'm thinking running lower than full pressure in rocks is easier on the tires?

Airing down exposes MORE of the thin sidewall to damage. These tires were chosen by Mother Mopar for their low price and low rolling resistance enhancing that all important CAFE standard.

So there is kind of a happy ending. Just made a deal to pick up 4 used SRA's for $80 with only 10k on them. That should keep me in spares for a couple weeks at least.

Your lucky! I just sold 4 SRA take offs just tires for $350. You got a deal.

But mine only had 100 miles on them. I basically sold them as a nearly new discounted price.

Yeah, timing is everything. He wanted $30 a piece or $100 for 4. I don't really need 4 but then again I cut one in the first two weeks so maybe... Anyway he seemed disappointed that I only wanted two so I bargained and scored.

The craziest part of the story was when the attendant at the Walmart tire and lube was checking for nails she noticed damage to the tread. She said I had some dry rot damage. Didn't build my confidence in her or the tire. I haven't been that hard on them yet I've been crumbling the tread already? I think the trail rated badges need to come off at least until I upgrade the tires.

If anyone in Vegas needs a spare I can part with one or two.

I found a 3/8" drive 3" extension perfect for turning the jack to remove. Has clearance and enough leverage to loosen. It does come tight from the factory. I put locks on my spare and to had get to the tire iron on day one. Another tool to throw in the cubby.

This statement requires further elaboration.
