Shocked at my shocks!
When I lifted my Jeep almost 3yrs ago, I had Rough Country shocks installed and now they all need to be replaced! I don't want to put new Rough Country shocks back on, and 95% of my driving is normal on-the-road type of driving......any recommendations as to what brand of shocks to get, and not pay a small fortune for them at the same time?

And my Rubi shocks were completely toasted before I hit 30,000 miles. Not super impressed with them.

I'm on my 2nd set of 9000s, and for the price they are better than the others I've tried. Had pro comps, rancho 5000s, and some plain white ones very similar to the pro comps. All were a bit too rough. Love being able to adjust them softer.

I had Teraflex shocks for a 2.5" lift for about 120K miles. I had RC before, that, and had serious tire cupping problems with Dick Cepek FC IIs. The TFs replaced the RCs. I replaced them a few months ago with, one the second set of Goodyear Duratracs, right near the very end of their life, I had some minor cupping. When I pulled the TFs off, there was no evidence of oil leakage, and all displayed similar, strong pressure. With the RC damage to an earlier set of tires, I was gun-shy and replaced the TF shocks, not wanting to ruin the next set of tires. I'm now convinced it was just a fluke of the tires--as I wrote, the cupping on the Duratracs was very minor and they were right at the end of their life. I replaced with RX9000xlt's. Great shock, if you care to spend that much money. If not, the TFs gave me plenty of life and satisfactory performance in especially hard use (overlanding on washboard roads, not some slow motion rock crawling).
