Just installed.... Sick of the look and feel of the ugly chrome shift knob? Check these out. Makes a big difference in the way your shifter feels. Don't over look the thing you touch most in your Jeep.

Was just looking at these, how hard is it to remove the stock knobs? The chrome top ring just popped off in my hand the other day...

It's easy, but I'll share with you my mistake. Yes, the chrome rings pop off with lightly prying up on it with a flat head screw driver. You do the same with the bottoms part. It's in 3 pieces. Once both are removed, sit on your center console, put it in neutral or 4th, and pull like a bastard. A guy made a video of it.... I would recommend taking your front hard top panels off. (If you don't have a soft top on) when the knob gave way, I smashed my head on the roof. Pretty sure I got a mild concussion lol. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VEblyJvRvjc

Ha, my popped off on Friday. I was wondering what the rattling was then it came off in my hand. Two of the tabs were broken. The third one broke the next day. I'll check these out.

One of the first things I did.
Speed Dawg has an adapter for the shaft. I drilled out a NY Giants billiard ball.

I like those, feels better in my hand. My chrome ring popped off about a year ago and I glued it back on. It feels a little loose sometimes. Where can I get one of those?

Just go to sickspeed.com or their eBay store. They are 79 bucks for both the shift knob and dif knob. The only matching set for a jk I could find.
