Default Side steps

I purchased some side steps (factory type, like on a Sahara) from a member here. The mounting hardware was lost in shipping. I called 2 differant dealers and Mopar only to find out I can not get the hardware. Does anyone know what size nut/bolts i will need? Also, how do they attach to the frame? There are 6 large bolts I will need (3 on each side) and I dont know how to do this.
If someone has the hardware laying around, i would love to have/buy it.
Thanks,
Joe

Default bolts

hey - you need 6 bolts for the bracket to step, and 12 bolts for the bracket to the frame. if you contact Mopar they will say to contact Dealer, and Dealer will tell you to contact Mopar. So 2 options - one return the steps to Dealer and re-order, or get bolts. mopar/dealer should be able to provide pdf file of instructions with bolt sizes (if i still have a copy i will send you). Just a note - the bolts they use are cheap, low grade bolts. I ended up stripping even with the use of a torque wrench to insure i didn't over torque. Dealer wanted charge me $2 for each bolt. I ended up going to Ace Hardware and getting a higher grade bolt.

I can not return them to a dealer, I bought them second hand from a member here on the forum.
I will try Ace tonight on the way home to see if they have the correct size. Do you remember if it is a metric or standard nut?
Also how do the 6 bolts that attatch the bracket to the frame connect? is there an ancore type of fastener that is used?
Thanks

OK, I got the hardware today, installed the steps, they are exactly what I needed. Now my kids can get in so much easier. I will be even better when I get the lift.......soon I hope.
