my biggest concern is niether me or the passenger noticed last nite the door didn't close all the way. The interior light was still on when I came back to the vehicle . . . . . .

is there any battery protection that automatically shuts off the light?

All of the doors on my '09 were hard to shut when it was brand new and the driver's side front was ridiculous. I took it to the dealership and made them adjust it. It helped a little. The weather strip has broken in some, I have gotten used to it, and I learned how to shut the doors on a Jeep. It takes a little time but things will get better.

Same here but with the drivers side door. One would think that with all the little leaks the air would just get forced out the

Watertight. Remember that your Jeep was developed to be driven into up to 30" of water (though the manual now says less now that the lawyers have weighed in).

I know on my mustang 05+ the window drops a 1/8" when you open it and when closed it slides up..makes it a ton easier. But when the battery dies it just about kills you to just pull tilll it pops to get it open.

It is not necessarily an air pressure problem with the hard top.

My driver side door has is much harder to close than the other 3. The others close very easily, but driver had been difficult since new.

I looked at the striker and there were no marks on the striker or latch so it doesn't seem to be misaligned and the problem did not get worse when I added a few turns of tape to solve the rattling problem some of us have.

Hmm. That's good to know. Maybe my memory is faulty, but I remember the Jeep website saying 30" when I bought my '07, but the owner's manual saying something less.

Rolling a window down makes the door close very easily. I think the lightness of the door has a lot to do with it too, there's just no mass to help compress the door seals.
