Default Soft Top Factory Straps

I just got a 2013 4 door soft top. With it I got 4 straps. 2 are velcro that I use to secure the top when its in the sun-rider position. In that picture that I have attached, what is the two outer straps used for?

Possibly to strap the rear window up rolled up. Check the back bar. It probably has snaps on it for the straps

Looks like the ones that snap on to the soft top frame by the rear window to hold it when you roll it up.

Do they snap with the soft top up or down? I can't find any pictures of them being used.

You can leave them in all the time. The idea is that with the top up you can unzip the sides of the rear window, roll it up, and slip the elastic loops around the ends. Unfortunately, this usually leaves scratches on the window, particularly where the straps go.

And that's why I gave mine away to someone who wanted them and the scratches associated with it.

OP- throw them away. You'll thank me when you sell your windows and get more than $20 because they aren't all scratched to hell from those straps.

Great idea! As OCD as I am, I gave up keeping the rear plastic window perfect. I finally gave into the "it's a Jeep" mentality. I do still take care of them, but somethings just need to be let go sometimes Plus it's an added security benefit, who wants to steal scratched windows!!!
