Just posted this on another thread but, I'm in NJ on vacation and it has been raining since SUNDAY! I got in the Jeep today and there was 2" of water on the drivers side floorboard. I pulled the drains and I am awaiting sunshine.
When it stops raining, I will check the seals on that side. This isn't the first time it has leaked.

I had a water leak problem too. I just put my top down and the soft top thingy that you take off. When i did that I noticed it was not put back together right where it meets the rubber jam at the top of the a-piller. Put it back together right and have never had another leak since, except the time my top an doors was off and it was stuck in a rain storm inthe parking lot at my office. Opps! I would recommend disassembling it at put it all back together nice and easy and see how that goes. by the way I take mine through a automatic drive through car wash once a week with no problems. Knock on wood!

Well, I was able to stop th leak until I can get into the dealer (Monday). I stuffed some strips of cotton (part of a sock) into the the outside corner gap where the soft top and windshield meet the upper front doors. Then, I took some rags and stuffed them under the inside plastic surrounding on the A-pillar section - the area that runs along the horizontal roll bar of the front driver and passenger region. I didn't want to break the plastic so I didn't wedge the rags under the plastic too far. Then, I wedged some rags between the roll bar padding and the soft top. Dry as a bone this morning. Not even a drip. And we had severe thunder storms and wind last night and early this morning.

Now, the problem will be to get DCX to come up with a solution that is more than just extra foam, which will get wet and mildewy.

I had an issue with water as weel this week leaking into the interior. After a rather sunny and dry summer on the lakeshore, its been raing like crazy here. Water has leaked into the jeep at the corners just above the exit latches.

I agree with the statement that its a design issue. Water follows the foam rubber channel above the windscreen and pools in the corners where there is a gap. What a crappy design. The car is at the dealer today. I'll report back what I find.

With that said, we have loved the new jeep. My family had a CJ up until the mid 80's. We finally have a jeep again. It's been fun at the beach.

Hopefully, Jeep will just come up with a new RUBBER weatherstripping design. I'm holding out for that, if I have not already fixed the problem. Still, with so many parts that can be moved/removed, it might be beneficial to re-assemble everything and make sure it all seals well. I checked the plastic door surrounds and they were loose, so I tightened them up. I don't know, it could have been causing the problem.

I had a leak rear its ugly head yesterday. Mine was actually at the padding above the B pillar. I went home last night and did some detective work only to find that my door surrounds had come loose. Not sure if the water was wicking behind them because they were loose or what. Mystery for sure.

Well, the dealer had the Jeep for two days because they could not figure out how to stop the leaks. Finally, the fixed it. They said that the soft top 2 doors are problematic and the hard top unlimiteds have had problems. They put on more foam rubber and replaced the plastic fitting that surronds the side windows. It rained like crazy and no leaks.

I should be getting mine back today. Dealer has had it since Monday. They told me they were installing newer (updated) seals around the door. I drew a very thorough diagram of the leak problem for them. They are supposed to be testing my leak with a garden hose and running water.

Well, it rained hard here this morning. No leak! Just the usual waterfall when the door is opened. Though the waterfall does not seem nearly as bad as it was before. I gotta say that I am thoroughly surprised. Still waiting for a long hard downpoor -- the kind that lasts almost all day -- for the the ultimate test.
