soft top rear window
For fear of severely scratching the rear window. I wait until I can get the road grime really wet and gingerly wipe it off. Are there any fixes to keep the salt/mud/road grime from splashing all over the rear area. An air deflector? Mike
wtf dude? its is a jeep, let it be dirty. always use a hose with plenty of water, and use a sponge. since sponges are rather inexpensive i keep the sponge for about a month, as a sponge will hold dirt and grime.
mine is scratched up bad and its a PITA. I believe it happened from rolling it up and throwing it in the back of the jeep during the summer. now it's winter and I can't see out too good. guess I'll b buying a new one soon.
once i get a new one I'm gonna try to buff it out. folks on the air force base use a buffing compound and extremely fine polishing paper to buff out the canopies on the aircraft. I'm gonna order me some of that stuff from the vendor and try it on my rear window. worse thing that can happen is I mess it up some more.

does work wonders but you're local crew chief has at least two he might part with for some "beverages"
When I had my '81 Scrambler I used to go out to the airport - to the general aviation section - and get some of the plastic cleaner they used on aircraft windows (aircraft windows are plastic!). As I remember, it did work relatively well.

Although I have not tired it, I've been told Lemon Pledge will remove a lot of the scratches.
