Thanks!!! I think the Trektop NX easily converts into a bikini top. I have been checking into it on line. From what I seen, price looks be approximately $650 When my soft top bites the dust, I will definitely replace it with the Trek top NX. That way I can have the best of both worlds - Full top / Bikini.

Hope this helps,

Default Went to the dealer

Okay . . .
Things went better than I expected for my used '07 JKU.
I went to the dealer and talked them into fixing them (I had only bought it a few weeks prior). They replaced them for free!
The ones they put on are wider than the originals and all they did was drill out the rivits and replace them with new ones.

Wirks like a champ.

They look like something I could have picked up at the locak fabric store but it was good they took care of it.

Thank heavens for an extended warranty!

I know I see the the tj fully sealed version in the catalog and think it would be amazing on my jk!

+1 I bought my first Jeep, a 2010 4d JKU and see the same thing. Looks like I'm going to get comfortable drilling out rivets and putting in screws and washers.

Is there any guidance for proper positioning of the plastic clips that are attached to the bow above the rear passenger seats?

Default Nylon straps

I've read through the posts and did not see anything on where to find replacement straps. Any ideas?

If I had the tools I'm sure I could do it myself in less than 30 minutes. The dealer is paying for it but I want to be there to make sure they don't F'up my top. I'm pretty sure they can fix it in a few minutes but I'll take a Dodge SRT-10 for "a day or two" if the dealer wants me to ... lol On a side note, why does that bow between the doors have Velcro that you can remove the bow from the top? You don't have to unvelcro it to put it in the sunrider position or all the way down ... am I missing something? I might have to look at the pictures in the manuel again.
The straps on mine dry rotted and separated. A couple of gear straps from the nearest camping store and it's good to go.

I haven't read the whole thread but if you're looking for staypad straps, the usual 4wd stores carry the service kits.

Search: mopar staypad strap service kit

Default Thanks

Thanks for the advice. It seems 1 inch straps are readily available just about everywhere. I'll look at these ideas.

Default Rivet photo of strap.

please can you send me photos of the rivet work you did for your soft top strap. Mine are missing and don’t know where to rivet them into?

thanks
