I've still found the room to thread the velcro strap through the opening but I'd rather do it without the clip.

i wish the elastic was a little tighter because i use it all the time on the rear window and it sits RIGHT in your sight line

Simple solution: Get girlfriend/wife/sister/mom/grandma (or yourself) to stitch across the loop so you pretty much have 2 levels. Just roll the window into the higher level.

Or... if there's no cargo in the back, just unzip the passenger side zipper all the way to the driver's side. Then, the window just lays in the cargo area: So there's less scratching, and you don't even have to open the rear door. (I'm not sure if the window should fly out though... I've never had a problem with it on the highway).

I have had these straps in my glovebox for almost a year and never new what they were for until i saw a pic of some one with the window rolled up in another thread... then the light came on and i found this thread... damn i feel dumb. but now i wondering does anyone roll the window up and then lower the top.

I use them but roll up a towel on one side so it doesn't scratch. Sorry if someone already gave this idea.
