Default Soft top windows flapping in the wind?

Anybody else having this problem?

(nevermind the $hitty phone pics, you get the idea)

It seems like the molding on the windows is not the same contour as the door surrounds.

Well, that is definitely not right.... my windows fit tight into the plastic door frame. Either you windows / frame are defective, or they are installed wrong.

Are you making sure that the window channel is locked into the door frame with the door open? Closing the door then kinda lockes the window in place.

When you put them in, you need to (bear with me as this is hard to put into words) "rotate" them one more time. First they grasp and catch but then you kinda spin them inward and set in there tight.

Hope this helps.

Yep, operator error. 90mph and no coming out. You have to put the channel pointing towards the back of the Jeep. You It takes some getting used to, but once you do it, you'll be fine. Go to the stealership if you can't figure it out from our reasonably poor explanation. You can look at the ones there, or ask the service guys.

Basic concept: The leading edge of the window (which faces towards the front of the Jeep when installed) is essentially a long plastic hook... take the window off and look at this leading edge, to see what I'm talking about. That "hook" is supposed to catch a channel that's located on the Jeep's frame/door surround (can't remember which). Put THAT (the leading edge hook) on first, before you zip the window, or else you'll have a hell of a time trying to stretch the window into proper position. Hope that's helpful - it is tough to describe, and took me a couple tries to figure out on my own.

Thanks NYRacBaller - we're all trying to help out, it's just tough to articulate (and God knows the owner's manual is next-to-useless!).

it is tough to describe, but...

if your windows are off and you open the rear door and look at the plastic door frame... there is a slit/gap that runs from the bottom (where it connect to the body of the jeep) to the top. Take the hard plastic strip on the soft window and fit it into slit/gap...

After that, i wrap it around and stick the velcro on so i can get the zipper threaded... zip up.. lock in the slit/gap on the bottom... re-velcro... and i am done
