Default Spark knock

I wanted to know if anybody else had a problem with spark knock on take off. It is not too bad. I fill up with Exxon 87 octane gas. I used gas treatment in the last two tank fulls and still have the knock. I went to the dealership and they said that there was a computer udate that came out and would fix the problem. They said it would take about an hour to fix. I wanted to know if anyone had heard of this? Thanks

Hmmmmm.....that's interesting. Have never heard of anybody else reporting that. I've got a 07 X w/ auto.....never heard a knock yet. But I do believe the gearing is different than yours? I have 4:10s

I remember in the "old days", the only time I would hear a spark knock was when going down to lower elevation from living at over 6k feet. If I didn't use hi octane it would knock do to it being tuned at high elvation. Could it be that your computer doesn't have the timing exactly correct?

Get the ecu reflash the dealer stated there is a fix for it. There might be other problems fixed that you don't even know that you have.

Yes, I get it off and on. It sometimes goes away on its own.

I get alot of fluttery sounding detonation pinging while accelerating, the more load the more pinging.

I have an 08 Auto Unlimited, looking to replace with an 09 6-spd 2-dr though.

Cheers
