So i went to changed the front diff oil yesterday and when I got the cover off there was a whole tooth missing off the right side axle gear! Luckily the magnet in the drain plug caught it before it did any other damage. My question is do I have to remove the axle shafts to change this? It doesn't look like there is enough room to drop the pin because of the ring gear.. It's a Dana 30 with 3.73s and I think it has the larger carrier since it has the towing package.
