I see #7 as a good thing. This required on all cars in europe. It's so that when you are changing lanes at highway speds you just have to tap the turn signal instead of actually turning it on then off. Benz's and BMW's in the US have this standard.

Very comprehensive write up, esp. after only 150 miles. Good observations concerning the looks.

Spudracer, thanks for the write up. Anymore pictures from the front, side and back with the wheel spacers?

Wheel spacers are still "in-work". I get off tonight around 6pm and will try desperately to get the two rear spacers installed. What's taking so long is getting the calipers painted. Over the last two days, the temps here have dropped from the 40s to the teens. I have to pull the wheels off, then stick a heater on the caliper until it is toasty warm. Then I take warmed caliper paint and paint it as fast as I can bfore putting the heat back on to get the paint to dry and harden. Then I have to go back out and look it over and touch it up, apply a second coat, then let it dry again, all while keeping a heater blowing on it to keep it warm. I have to do them one at a time. The spacer is the easy part. I'll do a write-up on the spacers once I get all four done.

I think the look in the front is absolutely stunning with the spacers on, and I have no doubts the rear will look the same. The red calipers make it look so Hi-Po and adds to the visual-candy appeal. Mind you, it does nothing for performance, but as I've said before, I suspect in 6 months there will be enough JKs on the road you could throw a stone blindfolded and hit one. I don't like being just one of many, and prefer to have a more unique look, hence the visual changes. When you have JK owners coming over and looking at your JK then trying to mimic you, you know you did something right!

IF I get the rear spacers/calipers done tonight, it will be dark long before I get done. Then I'll be working 24 hours straight at work starting at 8am tomorrow, so the soonest I can take pictures of the final look will be Thursday. The driveshafts are coming off (with difficulty) right now, so if I can get them back on Thursday, I can get it out of the garage and finally back on the road for some photos. I promise to post them then.

Good write up. I would agree with everything you said. I plan on installing the spacers as well when I rotate the tires next month. Would like to see pics when you are done.

Of all the photos I've seen of Jeeps, new ones have nice shiny driveshafts, those with 1000 miles have rusty driveshafts. I just decided to take mine off and paint them with a rust stabilizing silver coating then clear coating to try and protect them before they get too rusty. I tend to replace driveline parts only when they break. If I ever break a driveshaft, I'll replace them with the U-joint shafts. But I'm not going to replace perfectly good parts until they go bad.
