Default Squeaky seat

Does anyone have a squeaky driver's seat?

My Jeep is only a few months old and the driver's seat squeaks when I shift my weight. Or when I get out of the vehicle.

I'm hoping that the squeak will wear out as the seat wears out.

Default Mine too

Creaks bad, but not always sometime I adjust the seat and its back. Surely there's a way to tighten or lub. to stop.

Oh man, does my seat squeak! Every little bump you get a squeak squeak.

I asked the dealer to look into it while installing some additional options, not sure if they've fixed it yet (haven't had a chance to go for a drive since I got it back).

my seat squeeked so i sprayed some WD40 on it and it has never made a sound since and it has been about 2 months. just pull your seat all the way forward and squirt the rails, it will smell for a day but then return back to your normal smells of whatever you forgot about in the cargo area

I personally prefer Jig-a-loo simply because it smells better

Had this been a year into owning the Jeep I would have done that, but hasn't even been a month and only 1000KM! Gotta make the dealer work for it, lol.

I'll try the lube like john smack did, but I don't think its the rails. It sounds like its coming from the internal metal springs/struts inside the stuffing.

I get back to ya with an update.

About a year ago we thought the miserable squeak in the driver's seat would drive us crazy. The dealer greased the rails but it didn't work. Finally out of desperation, one day my DH decided to put his knees onto the seat bottom and press in various places as hard as he could. He discovered the squeak was coming from under the seat near the consul. He sprayed WD40 generously in that area under the seat and the squeak disappeared. It hasn't ever come back. Hurray!
