Well my friend just called and mentioned it is happening again and it is 30 degrees warmer than last week so that helps rule out this issue being purely cold related to stiff parts and/or viscosity of cold fluids.

Dealers vary. One reason I bought my JK 120 miles away. But five hours of driving for service isn't convenient. So I often choose to not have service performed by a dealer.

I had service done once at a dealer several cities away. The shop manager told me it would be a few hours and tossed me the keys to HIS Jeep to go shopping and get lunch. And then he only charged me five bucks and the rest was under warranty. I overnighted that service department some Key Lime pies...

My dealer locally won't even take appointments and you have to line up two hours before they open to guarantee getting service on a Saturday. The diner next door is filled with people waiting for the service department to open. The mechanic I use for non-warranty work drops my vehicles off at my work during his lunch break. Guess who gets my money...
