Default stock 16" wheels - steel compared to alloy?

The stock 16" JK wheels are steel, but I noticed some early 07-08s had stock 16" alloy wheels.

Does anybody know the exact specs on both these wheels? width? backspace? offset?

I'd like to upgrade to alloy wheels and a slightly bigger tire (245/75-16 or 265/75-16) w/o straying too much from factory spec. After-market alloy rims all have much less backspacing - which may be beyond what I need. Used factory 16" alloys seem like a good alternative, but I'd like to first know the actual measurements on them.

Thanks!

im not sure about your stock wheels but i upgraded from my 18 inch alloy wheels to 17 inch steel wheels. They look great and if you do dent them for any reason at all you can just bang the dent out with a hammer as apposed to replacing the whole wheel like you would with an alloy, and for 70 dollars a wheel you cant beat the price for a black rock steel wheel

Lighter weight is one reason I'd like to go with the alloy. Which 15" alloys did you go with and what size tire?

Still... does anybody know the specs on the 16" factory alloys vs steel?

I own an 08. While I've got a Rubicon JKU, the "base" wheel offered by jeep that year was a steel wheel, just like you see today.

Default im guessing this is what your talkin about !

i have steel ones on mine as well, factory , this is not my jeep here but i am concidering doing the same as in this photo , i even like the look ! Looks miliatary style rather than balloon tires ! this guy has 265 /75/16 tires on the factory 6 inch rim the al wheels are 7-8 inch wide rim im not concerned about back space cuz ill put wheel spacers on give it a wider stance as well ! maybe this answers the question ~ maybe not !Attachment 137878
