You can safely fit 33's with no lift, especially if you are going to have wheel spacers. Now I've seen people put larger tires than that on, but you certainly couldn't do any real articulating without trouble.

Pearl-drum-man, you just proved my long held theory about drummers - you always buy cars you can't fit you kit into!!! Unless you're going with a small jazz kick, etc., I wonder why you didn't go with a 4 door??
I know I want room for my bass cabs.

Sorry, off topic.

Believe it or not, I gigged very sucessfully using my TJ to haul my drums. It isn't a huge kit of course, but plenty big for my style. With the JK I have even more room Here's a pic of my current setup:

4 piece?! That's keep you busy, but it's easy to pack. Rock on.

I am running 305x50x17 goodyears with a 2.5" skyjacker. they are rubbing on the brake lines when i turn tight. unfortunately, i guess i am going to have to use spacers but i sure hate the tires sticking out from under the wheel wells so far.
