Given the same driver and same setups, no.

I think same would be the answer. I think the biggest diff. in the 4 an 2 door jeeps besides space is the way the 3.8 propels the vehicle down the road. I have no complaints with my 2dr, but i did drive a 4dr and it was noticeably more sluggish.

I've heard people say the 4 door feels more planted to the ground in snow, rain, etc. But I am sure were splitting hairs.

I'd have gotten a 2 door if my wife didn't have a say in it.

Offroad a stock 4 door is hurt by the breakover angle. Lifted mine right away. But 3500 tow capacity is nice. And the longer wheel base is good on ice.

Using the word "capable" is a bit impossible to define in this sense to me. Jeeps serve any purposes and I don't think you can say one is better than the other without getting very specific about what type of duties you're talking about.

If there was a choice between two stock Rubicons and I was asked to pick one to get through an extreme trail, I would choose the two door. Why? I have only wheeled a two door. I would say this forum has way more four door owners and most responses will be biased towards them being equal regardless of the specs because they are very capable.

2-door rock crawling and mud. 4-door on long STEEP hill climbs.

Both have pros and cons that even out; however, and overall, 2-door would be better.

equal, but in different areas.

2dr- shorter wheel base means better break over angle. takes tighter turns on narrow trails
4dr- higher tow rating. longer wheel base helps with snow, ice.

i hate this question....long wheelbase are better in some situations, short wheelbase are better in others, thats it IMO either way if u got lockers and a winch chances are u'll get through no matter how many doors
