Stock tires for the 17 and 18 inch wheel just break into the 32 territory. Not sure of the base 16 inch wheel tires.

But like posted above the stock tires dimensions shouldn't rub.

I have a 2007 with stock Goodyears. Apparently they lean enough in the turns to rub on the rubber that is around the front brake line and ripped the sensor wire. I have a 1 inch body lift so mabybe that is enough to roll the body in the curves. I had the front end checked out, not by the dealer, and everything is fine.

I don't get it, it appears to have enough room under there, and I'm going like 1-3 mph. I didn't think I was going fast enough to make her lean. I'll have to find a parking lot tomarrow and be outside when it's doing it.

255/25.4=10.04
10.04*.7=7.03
7.03*2=14.06
14.06+18=32.06
I rounded up a lot.
Either way, has almost an inch of clearance at full turn while stopped. Thanks for the help everyone, very helpful group here. Kinda makes me wonder why they stopped putting this size on the newer ones.

Hava a look at the chassis rail in the wheel well; is there a section of shiny or even worn paint?

Default rubbing

What about the steering wheel clunk. Do a search for it.

Got to parking lot, only does it on hard left turn. Not right. Got out and walked with jeep.
This is one of those duhh moments for me. It sounded different when I was in jeep. Almost a clankidy clank sound. When i got out it started to sound like this. I should have seen this long ago and there is evidence of it rubbing. Isn't there a recall for this? Thanks everyone for holding my hand on this one.

Default fix for clunk in door

I think that dealer is incompotent and no more warrenty...

When I hit driveways with a little speed, I hear a clunking, crunching sound on the driver side in cabin. Almost sounds like windshield is crunching. And the front is lower than back. I figured that was normal.... Wanted to see if thats common or if I should crawl around under jeep. She was a certified pre-owned....lol

there is a TSB fix for clunk in doors. My Jeep had same issue. I work @ Chrysler and talked to some buddies in body group. The dealer applied a grease to the door hinge area and latch, the sound is gone and has been for over a year. if you are out of warranty buy the kit comes with brush and grease" easy to do" and works. tape is just a bandaid.
