stock diff covers.
I only have ten k on these covers. I'm assuming the leaking has nothing to do with the covers, rather, the instalation of them.
The back was is flaking off. Does it get that hot?

I recently tried the warranty route for my rear dif cover and was shot down... According to dealership, they could tell I scraped them on rocks.. If there is any sign of "foul play", they may give you a hard time...

Sorry, not helping
really wish there was a list of dealers on here that pull this type of crap. they want to play this game, the only to change their crappy customer service is to essentially put them on a blacklist. for all they know it could have been something you drove over on the freeway during regular driving. it didn't have to be offroad related and hence turned down because you did it on a trail
Hagausaf, I appreciate the offer. It really does not bother me that they are peeling paint. I doubt that I will have them for too much longer.
Not going to take it to the dealer. I plan to regear in a month or so and then I will have them changed.
What is the advantages to the aftermarkt diff covers? Do they do anything or just look pretty?
I cannot see them providing much protection to the rear and the cover is not what hits first. I guess I can see it in the front.

The aftermarket covers are definitely thicker, lower profile, and made to be in the rocks. The coatings are better and so is the protection. The stock diff covers might as well be made out of a foil ware pan
