Default Mine has started

A woman changed lanes on me at 55 mph, I put it into a panic stop. Ever since I have had the death wobble. I mean a violent 4'' back and forth shimmy, seen during an episode by the shadow of the tires on a guard rail. Dambdest thing I ever saw. If you have this happen, pull it into 4wd hi immediately, drive force seems to stabilise the episodes. I've checked alignment, balanced the tires, replaced the stabiliser. I guess tires will be next....

Did you tighten up the track bar and/or replace the nuts and bolts with slightly bigger? This is supposed to be behind 99% of the wobble problem? I'm doing that hopefully next week sometime. One side is going to be a sob though.

Just got back from the field. Checked my track bar. There is slight play when i turn the wheel. On both ends. Bushings look intact. Just to clarify there should be no movement in the track bar what so ever.

I guess the first thing i will go is tomorrow change the bolt size and see if that quells the movement.

Track bar has been checked repeatedly. I've had this on my lift several times and there is NO movement of the track bar, the bushings haven't moved and the bolts are so tight they're bleeding.

I think you have the Jeep level and crawl around underneath swapping out the bolts and nuts on both sides at the same time. Jacking one side up and then the other would probably make things much more difficult if not impossible.

I did mine...changing to 9/16 bolts with all wheels on the ground. Everything lined up fine. If you raise it, you have to lower before you torque down bolts.

I got the kit from northridge today in the mail and planning on installing it next week. I've heard that this is a fix for death wobble but we will see
Is that the grade 8 bolt kit? I think I'm ordering that tomorrow with my bumpers. How much did you shell out for that?
