Default Stock ride height with 33" tires

Hey everyone! I know this may be a stupid question, but can I fit 33's under my fender flares with the stock ride height of a 2010 2 door Sport? I'm looking at buying a set of muddin tires for the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival next weekend and found some 33's on Craigslist but I don't want to buy them unless I know they'll work on my Jeep. Thanks for any help!

I was running 35's and no lift. Just have to cut the fenders. If the 33's are 12.50 then u may have slight rubbing at full lock and will definitely rub if you flex too much. Im heading to bantam next week also. Maybe see u there. Keep an eye out for this jeep

I've got 33x10.5s. No rub. Wider tires will be likely to rub at full flex if your back spacing isn't just right.

I'll definitely keep my eyes open for you! She's beautiful! I could only dream of making my JK that beautiful! Mine is nothing special. Just a red rock crystal 2010 2 door sport. Nothing really outstanding except for the Penn State tire cover. The tires I'm looking at are 285's which is 11.2 inches wide, so I think I'm going to go for it! If it doesn't work out, I'll post them back on Craigslist!

Thanks! The ones I'm looking at are 285's which is 11.2 inches, so I think I'm going to chance it! If I don't take any risks, how will I ever succeed, right?

I've got 295s with no lift. Only slight rubbing in some occasions. I've been on some relatively tough trails all through SW Colorado, and often had no running at all. I do have Spidertrax spacers due to stock back spacing, though.

Most 285/70-17 will fit with stock wheels, no lift, and stock bump stops. Some tires run wider than others, mine are 9" tread width and they don't hit the fenders at full articulation against the bump stops -- but not a lot of clearance. When the axle is full tilt, the tires are in the pocket of the fender flare a bit. Mine has a 2" lift and stock bump stops, so the only difference in comparing to stock is how much further the bump stops may compress.

You'll likely need to add a small washer to the steering stops to prevent contact (with lower control arms) at full steer -- see this pic https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/stoc...8/#post3917393 if you're unfamiliar. After-market wheels that widen the stance, or spacers, may have tire to (stock) fender contact at full articulation, but the washer on the steering stops won't be necessary.
