Stock Rubicon tires on aftermarket wheels.
Has anyone changed out rubicon wheels for different wheels, but used the stock mudders for time being. If so can u post some pics and details of wheels.
I am trying to do things in steps. Am planning on doing the TF levening kit for now and changing out the wheels to the ProComp 8089 17x8 wheels but am thinking about using the stock tires, but dont know if they will work. Then later changing out to 33's or 35's once the wife says ok..

Yes, they should work. The stock BFG MT KMs will work just fine on any wheel, and while most people upgrade the tires first, there's nothing wrong with upgrading the wheels first. The stock tires are a little more narrow than most people like, but a 17x8 should fit them fine.
My camera is out of commission so I can't do any pics, but I do have the Rubi BFGs on aftermarket wheels.
I have 17x8 Ultra Goliaths with the BFGs. I actually looked for local takeoffs for a bit but then ordered the BFGs from Discount tire.
I think the BFGs are a good match for a jeep at stock height or leveling kit. I don't like the look of the largest tires that can be crammed under the fender flares.
