Have a 2013 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited, mostly stock except for 2 inch lift and 285/75 17s on it. Has about 80000 miles on it, Auto transmission. Just finished up replacing the oil pressure sending unit...... I reconnected the battery and was coming back from grabbing a rubber mallet to seat the clamp and noticed transmission fluid leaking. Hadn't run in about 4 hours, and didn't start it. Leak is running down the right side of the transmission, from somewhere on the upper bellhousing. I can't make any sense of it, so was hoping someone here had some ideas!

Sounds strange. Sure it is not engine oil? Is it near where the sensor was changed from?

 

Definitely transmission fluid, bright red, and smells and tastes just like it.

 

OK the only other logical thing I can offer is did the breather tube fall off somehow? They are high up.
