Default Suspension loud over bumps

My 13 Sport S started out with normal spring rates (I don't remember) then to a TF coil lift which I took off and installed 18/60 springs.

Since installing 18/60 heavy duty springs it has been loud over larger bumps. I get a very loud thud over larger bumps.

Is this normal with heavy duty springs or is something going bad?

It's definitely not the bump stops. The suspension is essentially stock and it's not compressing nearly enough for bump stops to be involved. I'm curious if this metal on metal thud is a symptom of bad ball joints perhaps? Everything appears in place.....

im just throwing some stuff out here, but what about track bar bolts/holes? and play in any of the control arms/bushings? you can test bjs by jacking up the tire and grabbing the top and bottom and seeing if you can notice any play.

I'll jack it up and see what I can find... Wish I had some jack stands to take all the weight off the front end. Harbor Freight here I come.

Go through the Planman inspection and video. If you haven't done it, give it a try to uncover any problems in front end suspension parts. Your clunk may show up.

Everything appears tight. And no play in the bushings that I detected. I'm still thinking ball joints... But that's just a hunch

My suggestion would be to clamp a GoPro under your Rig and aim it where you think the sounds coming from..See how your suspension is reacting to the bumps..

I will rewatch the vid. And unfortunately I don't have or know anyone with a gopro.... But an excellent suggestion.
