Just food for thoughts here, but I your sway bar is disconnected while on road, and god forbid you had an accident, you insurance company could use it as an excused to avoid paying you.

Default Don't do it

The sway bar performs another function, and that is emergency control. If you have to make an emergency lane change at any rate of speed you are likely to TURN OVER without a sway bar hooked up. Ask me how I know this- Me, my wife and 2 friends were almost killed on the Interstate in a high speed crash caused by a stray dog being on the road. A short wheelbase vehicle, excessive body lean because of no sway bar, and an unexpected manuver add up to serious consequenses. If you drive on the public roads without a sway bar Be Careful. If you are involved in a serious crash and someone is hurt or killed- be prepared to have the lawyers on your butt forever- disconnecting standard suspension and operating on a public road will make you liable for damages....

Well now, that's sobering...
It sounds like doing it in small doses is viable, assuming great caution.

As I was reading this post, I was formulating a paragraph in my head EXACTLY like what TINMAN080 described.

cufojeep,
You asked in your original post If driving disconnected would be reckless.
The answer is YES. Other people getting away with it means nothing. It's there for the unexpected event. Irresponsible is a good word for it.

Does anyone have any experience with the Currie Anti-rock swaybar system.

I say get a quick disconnect kit and install it. Just pull the pins and you are ready to go. There is a thread somewhere on here, where someone did up a quick disconnect install using parts from home depot or somewhere similar. It was pretty cheap.

Yeah, that's what I've done, but being the lazy bastard I am, I was thinking about disconnecting in my driveway before I drove the 10 miles or so to the Pines.
That said, maybe my best bet is to disconnect where the pavement ends.
