Default tailgate

ok so my tailgate is sagging, and rattles like crazy and I can see the spot welds are a little popped. I only have the stock rubi tires so it shouldn't have done this, but did. so I asked the dealership how to fix it. they told me new hinges will fix it. if I get new hinges will it fix it? or will that only help a little bit?

If it is warranty work, let them do what they think is best. If the problem persists, take it back.
Only problem with that, you are out of your rig for a bit.

first off if its warranty ask for a whole new tailgate with hinges. If your welds are popped (like mine) then just hitting them makes an annoying rattle.. thats not hinges, that's metal on metal.. try to get it all replaced on their dollar..

As long as it's under warranty let them do what they recommend. They are responsible for fixing it right. Probably needs a new tailgate though

On the tailgate by we're it locks but on the jeep it self. There's a black shelf. It sits on. Unbot the 3"2 bolt and raise it a little. It fixes my rattle

If the welds are loose, no hinge will fix it.

Continue without rewelding, and you will start cracking and splitting the tailgate.
