Default Take your jeep apart?

I know that several of you have pulled the carpeting in your JK, so I have a question. I pulled up the carpeting in my JK and found the interior green inside. I thought that was funny so I checked the wheel wells and they are green too.

Then, I pulled my spare tire because I installed a swing away rear bumer and "super good quality" MOPAR had so poorly sprayed my tailgate that gray primer is showing!!!

So, my paint is black, my primer is light gray and my interior was sprayed green.

Now, I helped a friend of mine work on his silver 09 Jk. While helping I got curious and pulled back his carpeting - silver color!

What does everyone else have hidden under their jeep? Is this "black jeeps get a rescue green base-colored interior" thing? My jeep is an 08 JKU.

Lol...

My black '08, which I bought new, features puke green under carpets and under the role cage padding.

I think it was Chrysler's way of saving a buck or two.

Maybe it was a quick change at the factory depending on what was ordered? It is still wierd. I looked at mine and it was fortunatley silver on silver...maybe its cause it was made on tuesday and not friday

What year?

From the few that have responded so far, it only really looks like '07s and '08s have this funky under-color.

If thats the case, that most '07s and '08s have this "problem", then I would guess it was either a cost savings move of a soon-to-be bankrupt Chrysler, or it was the result of JK shortages prevalent during the first year of production and the factory just repainted what they could to keep up.
