Just so you guys are aware. Even with manual doors, you still have to unplug a harness.

i know this is an old thread but it adressed something i had a question about... the door chimes.. when i took my door off, only the front driver one, the door chime still sounding.. any reason this would happen?

I don't see why that would be, was the key in the ignigtion or, were your lights on?

But, why did you take just one door off?

haha just to drive around the block wanted to see how it was i dont think it was any of those things because it was beeping as i was driving. maybe my friend didnt shut his door we just assumed the beep was about the door off ill try again soon and make sure everything else is firmly shut and i'll let you know if it happens again.

yeah usually it doesnt beep for passenger doors, just lights on....i think? But i guess if it were in drive it would prolly be beeping....once you unplug that harness, the beeping will stop so I dont think the door off was the problem unless it was just a freak chime accident,

i know...old thread..but, i briefly scanned through the whole thread and didn't see anyone ever mention one important thing...Torx
you get all psyched and pumped up and ready to take off the doors, then bam! you don't have the right tool to do it.
