Default Tear out them back seats

I was wondering if i can take out the back seat on my 2dr X. Honestly right now i only need driver and passenger seat. This would give me a lot more room for basic daily living etc. Has anyone done this?

Thanks

Very easy to do, your manual has a extensive section on how to do this.

I took out my back seat of my 2dr Sahara the first day I owned it, and it hasn't been back since

And it makes a great seat for the garage! If only it had cup holders....

Yup! First thing I did in my 2 door. When you fold it forward, just grab the bar under and it unhooks the front brackets (like most removable seats).

FYI- It's one heavy sob!

I know a lot of guys remove it but I get a third passenger pretty often. Fold it forward, gives you the room you need and the option to fold it back down if you need.
Eventually I'd like to remove the bench and install one jump seat.

Default Yank it

Really easy. Owners manual says to remove subwoofer but that's not necessary. Just unlatch, turn it sideways and pull it out. I removed mine right after I tried to sit in it. You have to be a midget contortionist to get back there.

I removed the rear seat within a week of owning it. I have a 36" aluminum truck box bolted to the seat attachments. I have lots of storage in the Jeep now and can't believe how much stuff I've put inside that box. I keep my windows, tools, cover, towels and other misc. items in the box. I never have more than one passenger so I don't miss the rear seat at all.
