Default Teraflex 2.5" lift with adapters or shocks?

I've had my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Sport S for about a month now and am planning on lifting with 33's and powder coating stock 17" rims. I wont be doing a ton of off-roading but will be pulling the bass boat and snowmobile trailer and it is my daily driver. As far as the lift goes, should i do the budget boost with or w/o shocks or spend the extra cash and do the lift kit with either the stock shock adapters or the kit with the Teraflex shocks? If not Teraflex, then what other lift kits would you reco?

I used the adapters but the stock X shocks. They'll last for a little bit. So, if you don't want to spend the money now, you'll be just fine. I upgraded after about 5000 miles with this setup and some wheelin. If you have the funds just get them now.

Make sure you get the extensions (front) that screw onto the shock. A buddy of mine had the ones that bolted to shock mount and he busted it clean off on one of our runs last month...

I would just wait and save to get new shocks. The stock shocks arent that great IMO.

I would go with a shock kit. I went with the TF 2.5 with shocks. Give Dave from a Northridge a call when your ready. Gave me the best deal.

I see you new to the forum, welcome. I'm from from Jersey City also.

If you go with the 2.5" kit you will need to run spacers with the OEM wheels. Also, if you go with the coil kit and longer shocks you might tear your front driveshaft boot on the exhaust. That is what I have seen written here about 2012 models so far.

thanks zinger. you think it would be beneficial to just use a 1.5" leveling kit to compensate for running 33's being that i wont be doing a ton of off-roading instead of the lift kit?
