What crossed my mind is that, if a thief did this to 4 same spares jeeps , he would have a new set of tires. Most spares are not on used, and never touched the pavement.

I know right? It must of been another offroad inthusiest because I was no where near a road...just dirt rocks and tents.

Mopar makes a five pack of locking lug nuts for about $45, cheap insurance.

Actually got my spare with 3 wheel locks on it. Found it a couple of times with the wheel cover unzippered. I guess the wheelocks pays itself off. I make it a habit to make sure I check the tire so often to make sure some prankster do not let the air out... : )
