Default Three questions before ordering lift and tires.

I would like to put 285 75 R18 (34.8" x 11.2") Goodyear Wrangler MT/R on my 2012 stock 18" polished Sahara wheels. Plan on 2.5 RK Flex system lift. I currently have 255 70 R18 (32" x 10").
I do not want to run wheel spacers.

My wife and I ride mostly on trails and beach. We are installing our new 8000# Warn Zeon winch on our stock bumper. We also tow a 16' 2000# camplite camper.

Anyone running this setup?
Will the extra 2.8" in height and 1.2" in width rub on suspension/steering components after lift with stock wheels?
Is towing capacity affected by lift and taller tires?

Thanks for your input/comments.

I think that lift is short
Beat if you dont want a wheel spacer and you dont want rubbing the flares you need atleast 4in lift to run a 35 perfectly
Just my idea
Since i installed a 33 in my 2inch lift everytime i reverse with turned wheels my tires rub the stock bumper
Thats all but if you bumper is already aftermarket so no worries at all you can go even bigger tires

you will need either spacers or different rims with less backspacing then stock. I am running 285/75-17 on stock rims and without spacers they rubbed on front sway bar and also very close on rear driver side control arm. Yours are going to be taller by almost an inch. If you have a stock bumper you will have issues with spare fitting on.

Nice looking jeep!
I thought I would need an aftermarket tire carrier because of the weight. I didn't think about bumper clearance.
How much /what lift are you running.
Are the 1 1/2" spydertrax the right spacers. Are there better spacers available?

The lift will be perfect, Im running the 2.5 RK and love it so far. You will need wheel spacers tho with stock wheels to avoid rubbing all sorts of things.

I went with the 2 in lift and 325/75/17 tire had to use a 1.5 wheel spacer would recommend the new tire carrier it's not cheap but worth it

Someone on another forum said that wheel spacers are not legal in New Jersey. How do I find out if this is true?

Unless you really like your stock 18's,....by the time you buy spacers and pay the premium for 18in tires, you could replace tires and wheels with 17's.

If you go with spacers, Spidertrax are the best. Never use an impact gun on them and make sure you use the threadlocker and you will be fine.

Your JK will look really nice with that combo. Good luck!!

You will get more replies over on the modified section...I started out with 285/70/17's with spacers and it worked well until I got my lift, with a 3" lift I still ran the spacers.

Stick or auto?
4.10 gears or?

I found the Firestone airbags inside the rear coils really help with a trailer.
Depends on your suspension set up I guess. I'm not a fan of really stiff coils. The air bag kit was only $80 at Summit Racing.
