Of course there are many other extended warranty programs you can purchase outside of the original factory warranty.
At the time I purchased mine (three weeks ago) the given was 3/36 bumper to bumper and 5/100 power train. The extended warranty option available through my dealer was to extend the bumper to bumper to 7/70, which I gladly did.

Traded my 07 in 3 weeks ago on a 2012. Love the 2012 so much better. As far as dealerships you have to haggle with them, took me 2 days to work out my deal. First night I thought the sales manager was going to fall over when I walked out on his deal. I ended up getting what I wanted for my 07 and 2K under invoice on the 2012. So I was Happy. My warranty is 100% for 1st 12 months, 3yr/36000 bumper to bumper and 5yr 100,000 powertrain. Not sure if it is a dealership thing or not but also got 24 months/24000 miles free service(oil changes and tire rotations)

I just bought my 2011 just over a month ago and they were offering a 5yr 100k bumper to bumper, only cost $1000 so everything is covered till I start modding it.
