The hard vinyl mount is cracking around the (3) bolts which hold the spare tire. Anyone else have this problem. Is there such thing as over tightening causing this to crack or vibration and bumpy roads. Lately I've had the spare tire on and off a lot because I replaced the swing gate hinges.

Heavy tires and not sitting against the rubber stops could cause fatiguing. My new 33.9" (yes that is the height) Toyos the spare sits right on the stock bumper indent. My 2008 is fine but has spent its life in a garage.
