Default tire noise after 1st rotation?

Just wondering if this excessive tire noise is normal after the 1st rotation and if anyone else has had this problem. Its a pretty loud humming sound. sounds like my old YJ's Kumho MT's.
The first 6000 miles were pretty quiet. so, I assumed it was the new tread pattern on the BFG KO's. I'm thinking that eventually the tires will wear down to a "quiet" stage again but, I've got just over a 1000 miles on my newly rotated tires with no sign of letting up.....

I don't have any extra noise, just a shaky steering wheel at 40+mph. I'd take the noise of that.

I think 6000 is too long for a MT tire. They start getting a little too choppy after 4000. I try and stick to 3K. They are still a little noisy for the first 2-300 miles after rotating, but it goes away fairly quickly. Yours are going to take longer.

Thanks for the good info guys..

Yea, I was also thinking that 6000 was a little too long to wait between rotations...especially since I'm rotating my spare into the mix each time.

balance and pressure checked out fine. I wouldn't think that rotating would throw off the alignment, but i may have that checked if it lasts through another 500 or so.

Thanks again,

Tony

I agree 6K seems too long. I am doing 5 tire rotations. The first one was loud for 1000-1500 miles rotated at 6K. Now I rotate every 3K and rotate and balance every 6K.
