Tire pressure light, all tires seem fine
My low tire pressure light came on the other day and I can't figure out why, I've checked all 5 tires multiple times and they all seem to have the same amount of air in them. Anyone have an idea what this could be? Also, does anyone know if the TPMS checks for variance between tires or is there's a threshold for them to trigger?
About the jeep:
2012 JK 2 door sport
Wheels / tires have about 12k miles and are 2012 rubi take offs
TPMS were swapped from stock steelies to the new set up by dealership

I left out that I had taken it camping this night. No problems when getting to the spot (65 degrees F) but light went off in the morning (38 F). I'm not sure if this was a problem, but I cant imagine it should be.

TPMS light will go on if the tires are a certain psi off (max/min of all 4 must be within some value). I do not know what the acceptable range is.
TPMS (from what I have been told by multiple tire shops) typically reads a couple PSI lower than a pressure gauge at the valve, I do not know why and it seems ridiculous to me.
If one of the sensors gets damaged or batteries fail, or your car has a hard time reading the sensor it will trip the light to come on.
When you take it in, have them pull the codes for the light. It will tell you which TPMS is tripping the light to go off and then you will be able to figure out which is damaged, etc (if any). It can also be if they are new sensors, sometimes the ECU does not take the programming right and therefore will lead it to turn the light on. This will usually happen shortly after programming (within say 50miles or couple hours).

Happened here in Ohio on mine a few weeks back when it got cold overnight. Sometimes the light will go off once the tires warm up. If it stays on over the day I just usually am in need of a few pounds all around. Never had any other issues with them.
The sensors are pretty rugged, I haven't heard of anyone actually breaking one.
Of course, they can fail or "go bad" (and the batteries do eventually die; 5-9 yrs they say).
A low-pressure warning gives you the chime and solid light. A bad sensor causes the warning light to flash on and off.
Assuming the warning is activated because one or more tires had a pressure drop, once you air up a bit you still have to drive around until the signals all refresh. Sometimes that can mean a lot of driving. I've read 20 miles; I've read 100 miles....
