Default tire question for stock 2010 4 door sport

I recently purchased a 2010 wrangler sport and it came with these little baby tires. I read through a couple forums and alot of people were saying with the stock suspension I can run 33s. Now if I go from my baby tires to 33s do I need to regear? I know if you put in a suspension lift you need to regear. Wondering if this applies with the increase of tire size.

Why would you need to regear for a suspension lift?

Re-gearing will be a personal opinion that you will have to answer for yourself. It will be based on engine, transmission, model, mods/weight added, current gear ratio, physical location, driving style/needs, etc. Some people are fine with stock gearing and 35's. Others hate the gearing with stock tires.

Go to the Modified tech area, at the top are a couple of stickied threads. In the faq's, scroll down to the drivetrain section and find the rpm charts. Plug in your current gear ratio and a few tire sizes and see what you come up with. Use measured tire size if you can find it, not the mfg's spec.

Also, this question is asked daily in the modified tech area. So there are about a bajillion other threads to read through for more opinions - just remember that those opinions may, or may not, apply to you, in your specific situation.
