I wouldn't rotate your tires for $32 but that's not that crazy. $25-35 is what I've seen on every car I've owned. I either don't do it or do it myself. I don't mind going to the dealer but tire rotations are one of the few things I can do myself. I'll admit, I marked the wheels on her last 3 Foresters and the dealer actually rotated them.

I started rotating my stockers myself (5-tire rearward cross) a few years ago after I found my dealer was only going front to back to front. The service manager gave me the "RCA Dog Look" when I questioned him why they don't do a real rotation. I have 54k on them now and am debating having the tires flipped black-walls out and re-balanced to even out the wear from the current outside tread to the inside.

I printed this off and laminated it several years ago. I don't really look at it anymore, but on the off chance I have someone else rotate, it's good that they know exactly what my expectation is.

When I bought my Jeep it included "free" oil changes and tire rotation for as long as I own it. Now I have them put in synthetic, so they charge me $30.

5 tire rotation from the start. Increase tread wear 25%!! No brainier

That graphic is great. But tire techs always fail to do it right. This has happened 3 times. So now I keep chalk in the jeep and Mark tires where they are supposed to go.

I get free rotations from Tire Warehouse. They have coupons online but they don't require that I have the coupon really. Many places do coupons for free or if you buy tires there they rotate for free.

The charge is fair considering the time it takes. I think others charge 20 or 25.

Am I the only one that measures tread depth and rotates accordingly? I move the lowest to the spare and move the others around.

I guess theoretically if you rotate often enough the tread wear would be pretty even. I more concerned with reducing the feathering that occurs on the fronts on mud tires.

Stopped by Tread Quarters yesterday. $20 per tire to flip my stock Bridgestones inside out, strip the weights, rebalance, and rotate. Hope to get another 15-20k out of them!
