Default Tire Rub Q275-uestion

All,

Did a search but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. Can anyone tell me if a Duratrac 275/70R17 will rub on a JKU with stock rims, no spacers no lift?

Thanks!
Larry

I had asked this a few days ago, on a stock jeep I was told you should be able to get a 285 70 17 on no problem, there may be some slight rubbing on a full turn but that is it, spacers will further prevent, it is more the width then height

Yes, they will rub on the sway bar and brake lines. I put on 1.5"Spidertrax to get rid of the rubbing but now they rub on the fender lip at full compression. I trimmed the inside of the lip with a razor knife. It will just have to do till the lift fairy arrives.

I am running 265X70X18 on stock Sahara rims and have minor rubbing at full lock left on the sway bar. I just do not go full lock.

I would guess they will rub on the fenders during articulation. My stock 255/75/17s rubbed the fenders under extreme articulation when disconnected before I installed my lift.

You may be fine on the street but as stated above I'd watch the sway bar links and brake lines at full lock.
