Default tire size

i've searched around but i can't find an answer so i figured i'd ask here. what tire size will fit my stock jk suspension and wheels, i'm looking at toyo a/t's or bfg a/t's. some guys i know localy have said 285's but i thought that was a bit big for stock setup. i mean, if the 285 will fit, then that's fine, but i just want to know if anyone else has a stock jk with bigger tires

I have just put on 285/70R/17 Duratracs that fit well with a stock suspension.
I only needed to do the washer mod on the steering stop to get rid of the minor rub at full lock.

I am going to add a 3/4 spacer to the front today to try and level things out a bit.

Did you try the FAQ's? This one might be of some help:

"Q: What is the biggest size tire I can fit on my stock Jeep JK Wrangler?"
