Default Tire Spacers

I need some help! I am changing from stock tires on my JKU which are 225/75/16 to a new set of rims and tires which are now going to be 265/70/18. My question is what size of wheel spacers do I need?

If you order rims with the correct backspacing you won't even need spacers.

You can compare the measurements at this link...

The rims and tires came off of a jeep, so should I be okay then?

Not necessarily. They are larger than any OEM tires so whatever was done to that Jeep to compensate would have to be done to yours. That is assuming they had no issues. But that could be why they are selling them.

A lot goes into wheel selection...lift, tire size, backspacing, spacers. Without more information it is impossible to help.

They are the 5 spoke OEM that came from the factory. Does that make any difference? They came off a stock Rubi and are going on a JKU sport

Plug the numbers into one of the conversion tools online. Looks like the tires you want are only .5" taller and .4" wider than the ones that come on stock 17" and 18" rims.

You don't need spacers or less backspace/offset on the new rims, but since you are getting new rims, why wouldn't you go ahead move the tires out? Or are they stock 18" rims?

You may not need wheel spacers. I have a Sahara that had 18" OEM wheels and was running 11.5" wide tires and I needed 1" spacers or I would rub.

The tires you're looking at are just under 10.5" wide (1" narrower than I was running) so it would seem you might need not them with the tire size you're considering.
